|
| Queries: |
Each time a person clicks on the search
button the number of databases being searched is counted
as a query. Since it is possible to query multiple databases
for a single search, the query number is usually higher
than the number of searches.
Example: If a user submits a search for “fish”
in the Aquatic Sciences subject area and selects the following
databases; Aqualine, Oceanic Abstracts and Water Resources
Abstracts the number of queries would be 3 as three databases
are queried and the number of search is 1 as the search
button is clicked only once. |
